We were inspired to create the Stellenberg Candle range by the hypnotic and powerful fragrances we encountered in Stellenberg’s magical gardens. As we moved from one garden to another in the evenings, these fragrances changed and we were intrigued by this, the splendour of the Cape Floral Kingdom, and the possibility of bringing these sensory pleasures to others. We began our quest to craft uniquely South African candles by searching for the purest ingredients in South Africa. After a process of trial and error we chose our range of scented candles which transport us back to Stellenberg’s gardens and the Cape Floral Kingdom from afar.
Every divinely distinctive Stellenberg candle is made of 100% pure eco soy wax, which is scented with premium quality African living oils to create a unique sensory experience.

Stellenberg’s No I
A sultry essence of natural rose pelargonium
Sultry African oils with hints of exotic sweetness from rose pelargonium combine in Stellenberg’s No l candle. This natural embrace captures the fragrance of Stellenberg’s aromatic herb garden on a spring afternoon.
Stellenberg’s No II
A rich natural embrace of Artemisia, rose geranium, lavender & spearmint.
Artemisia (African wormwood) is a popular healing plant, indigenous to South Africa. Stellenberg’s No II scented candle combines soothing Artemisia with hints of rose geranium, lavender and spearmint. This natural embrace, along with delicate African oils, captures the fragrance of Stellenberg’s herb garden on a summer evening.
Stellenberg’s No III
A rich embrace of rose geranium, and African oils.
Pelargonium graveolens (rose geranium) is indigenous to South Africa and has relaxant properties. Stellenberg’s No III scented candle combines sensual rose geranium with floral, slightly herbaceous hints. This natural embrace with African oils brings warmth and tranquility to you.
Stellenberg’s No IV
A rich embrace of orange, cinnamon, and African oils.
Scents of orange peel and cinnamon create a relaxing fragrance reminiscent of the romantic spice trade and the Cape of Good Hope years ago. Stellenberg’s No IV scented candle combines orange, cinnamon and African oils to capture the tranquility of Stellenberg’s citrus walk in summer.
Stellenberg’s No V
An intriguing fragrance of Buchu (Agathosma Betulina), and African oils.
Buchu, often referred to as South Africa’s miracle plant, and other African oils combine to produce a blackcurrant like aroma with a hint of sweetness. The Buchu plant has been appreciated for its medicinal qualities for centuries. Stellenberg’s exotic No V candle captures the fragrance of Stellenberg’s forest walk (wandelpad) in spring.
Stellenberg’s No VI
A sweet fragrance of Tagetes minuta and other African oils
Tagetes minuta, (Khaki bush or African marigold) known for its therapeutic qualities, combined with other African oils, creates a wild sweet citrus-like aroma. Stellenberg’s alluring No Vl candle captures the fragrance of Stellenberg’s wooded and indigenous walks in summer.
